This feature allows users to select the Normal Map Blending Method that provides the best results for their intended use.
Settings/Preferences ▶ Preferences ▶ Graphic Options ▶ Normal Map Blending
Load garment with a blended normal map component,
→ Example: Topstitching with the Type changed to "Texture" and the check box next to "3D" activated in the Property Editor.
- Change a window view mode to UV Editor, and change the display channel to Normal Map.
- Open Settings/Preferences in the Main Menu at the top of the interface, then select 'Preferences'.
→ Move the Preferences window so that it does not cover the UV Editor.
- In the Preferences window, under Graphics Options, change the 'Normal Blending Method'.
→ Observe the normal map for blended Normal Map components is changed.
- Bake out the normal map using the 'Bake Textures' option at the top of the UV Editor for application to the garment in an external 3D environment.
